Two more attempted child abductions reported in the Montgomery County area.

Authorities are investigating two separate reports of attempted abduction of a student in the Montgomery County area.

The first incident happened on Thursday about 5 p.m. in the Oak Meadows subdivision in Willis, said Montgomery County Sheriff’s officials. The parents of a 7-year-old boy reported that two people in a faded red 1990s Toyota 4-Runner approached the boy as he exited the school bus in the 3700 block of Hickory Lane, Montgomery County Sheriff’s officials said.

The boy said the man and woman got out of the vehicle and asked him his name and if he wanted to get in the vehicle with them. The boy’s mother was watching from a distance and when she realized something was not right, she ran to her son, yelling for him, officials said.

The man and women got back into their vehicle and fled, officials said.

The other incident happened on Friday about 3:45 p.m. in the Walden subdivision, near Lake Conroe. A 13-year-old girl reported that she was followed by three men in a work van as she rode her bike.

The van was later located and the men inside were interviewed and photographed before being released. They received numerous citations for vehicle violations. The vehicle was a 1996 white Dodge van with ladders on the top.

Investigators do not believe the two incidents are related.
